Window Cleaning FAQ

How often should I have my windows cleaned?

We clean some home windows monthly, others bi-monthly, seasonally or annually. It is your preference how often you would like them cleaned, even if it’s just once.  We would also suggest that it is best if your windows never go much longer than a year between cleanings, because the build-up of dirt can lead to stains which are difficult to remove and more costly for our customers

Do I need to do anything to get ready for my window cleaners?

We appreciatively ask that you move anything off the window sills or window area such as plants, nick-knacks, papers, etc.

Can I get an estimate for window cleaning before you come to my home?

Yes!  We can do that all from the outside and you do not need to be home when we perform the estimate.  All we to do is take a quick count of the number of different types of windows in your home (awning, bay, casement, double-hung, french, jalousie, picture, sliding, etc.) We will call you with an estimate.

What if it rains?

Since it usually doesn’t rain all day, we kindly ask that you allow us to clean the INSIDE of your windows first. In most cases it has stopped raining by the time we are ready to clean the outsides. We appreciate that you have arranged your schedule for this appointment, and this will enable us to take care of you with the least amount of disruption to your schedule. If we need to come back to clean the outsides we will endeavor to do it the same day or same week. You will not need to be home.

Carpet Cleaning FAQ

Do I need to vacuum before the technicians arrive?

We ask and recommend that you vacuum the high traffic areas before our technicians arrive to your home.

Is pre-treatment included in your price?

Yes, we pre-treat every area before cleaning and this is included in our price.  If you are looking at other service providers, make sure to ask if they include pre-treatment in their quoted price.

Do you move furniture?

Yes, we move furniture at no additional charge.  We do ask that you remove items such as lamps, pictures, plants, etc. before our technicians arrive.  After we have cleaned under the furniture, it will be returned to its original place with protective blocks or tabs under its base/legs to protect your furniture and carpet.  There are several items our technicians will not move based on company policy including:  entertainments centers, large dressers, mirrors, china cabinets, pianos, televisions, electronics, etc.

How long will it take for my carpet to dry?

Your carpet can take between 8-24 hours to completely dry.  Air flow, humidity and temperature in the area all affect the time it will take  for your carpet to dry.

How long should I leave the protectors under the furniture?

The protective blocks and tabs under your furniture’s base and legs should be left in place until the carpet is completely dry, which will help avoid color transfer.  We usually recommend keeping the protectors under the furniture for 48 hours to be safe.

Does having my carpet cleaned make it soil faster?

Having your carpet cleaned “properly” does not cause faster re-soiling.  The misconception of “having your carpet cleaned will cause it to soil faster” is a result of residual chemicals from prior cleaning and general wear and tear of carpet and padding.  Many portable home carpet cleaning machines do not have sufficient extraction power to remove all of the residue used in the cleaning process.   Our steam cleaning method uses the proper cleaning solutions and superior extraction power to leave little to no residue.

Are your chemicals safe to use around children and pets?

Yes, all of the chemicals we use are a low ph and completely safe for your children and pets.

Air Duct Cleaning FAQ

Will this be a dusty procedure?

No, this is not known to be a dusty procedure. The system we use will draw the dust out of your vents and into our machine.

Can you give me an estimate for getting my air ducts cleaned without coming to my home?

Yes, our pricing is based on the amount of registers in your home.  If you know the number of registers, we can give you an estimate over the phone.

Do my kids need to leave the house?

That will be at your discretion, we will be working from room to room with registers removed, so we recommend your kids not be running freely around the house.

How long will cleaning my air ducts take?

Every job is different but to give you an idea, a house with 12 vents and one F.A.U. will take 3-4 hours.

How often should I get my air ducts cleaned?

You will get the most benefit from the first cleaning of your air ducts.  Construction dust, pet dander/hair, and other allergens often unknowingly set in the air ducts for 10-15 years without being extracted.  After the initial cleaning, we recommend, in order to maintain your indoor air quality, that cleanings are maintained every 3-5 years.
